Welcome to the Husfruedrakt - a modern re-creation of a Norwegian housewife’s traditional costume
The Husfruedrakt and the Husbonddrakt (the counterpart for the man of the house) have become popular festival costumes.
During the Trøndelag 2000 exhibition, Ragnhild Blikø received an award from the Norwegian Folk Art and Craft Association for her “husfruedrakt” a modern festival costume with roots in the national costume tradition.
The costume is available in red, green or blue.
